In Los Angeles overnight Mark Colbourne from Tredegar scooped a Silver in the C1 classification Kilo event.

Mark Colbourne (Tredegar) qualified second fastest in the C1’s 3km Individual Pursuit in a time of 4:06.895 and will be racing Juan Jose Mendez Fernandez (ESP, 4:06.285) for Gold later tonight

The UK Sports Association for People with Learning Disability (UKSA), is pleased to reveal the Team representing Great Britain at the 7th INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships in Manchester from 14th – 18th March 2012. Amongst the team will be Stephen Morris from Cardiff, who competes for only the 2nd time internationally. Morris is currently supported by the Disability Sport Wales Academy.

The London Boccia Invitational event, which will act as the Test event for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, will see a Great Britain team which will include Jacob Thomas from Narberth in Pembrokeshire.

The British Paralympic Association confirmed today that the first ten Table Tennis players have been selected for ParalympicsGB at London 2012. Among the ten are 4 Welsh players, which makes up 40% of the team are from Wales.

WELSH cyclist Mark Colbourne (Tredegar) has been included in the 14-strong British team for the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Los Angeles, taking place on February 9-12.

Neil Robinson (Bridgend, South Wales) the former Paralympic Gold medallist and current coach of Team GB’s hopefuls, has been honoured with an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for his services to the sport.
